The wrecks of Coron Bay  offered great diving experiences for beginners, advanced Divers and technical Divers.
We have pioneered since 1989 diving  in Coron/Busuanga as the first professional Dive Center in Town. Since then, we exerted all our efforts to constantly improve our services for our visitors & friends.

Again as pioneer since Jan '97, Discovery Divers offers full service for Nitrox and technical divers. We are a proud member of TDI/SDI and since 2006 a 5* TDI/SDI Instructor Development Center

What's NITROX ?
"Nitrox", more commonly known as Enriched Air Nitrox (EANx), is any combination of nitrogen oxygen (N2/O2). The first breath we took coming in this world was Nitrox. In fact every breath we took since has been Nitrox. The first dive we took using compressed air was Nitrox. Compressed air is 79/21, meaning 79% nitrogen (N2) and 21% oxygen (O2). EAN or Nitrox diving is diving with Air or Gas blends higher then 21% oxygen (normal Air).

What are the Advantages using Nitrox?
In short word's significant longer bottom time at a specific depth.
As you recall from your Open Water Course, our body absorbs nitrogen from the air we breathing, depending on time and depth we spend diving. Diving on NITROX  we reduce the partial pressure of nitrogen while adding oxygen in our gas mixture. This results in less nitrogen absorption while diving and gives us more bottom time!

Simple ? Very view things are simple as they first appear. The Nitrox Diver course teach you all about save Nitrox diving.

Mother nature provide the planet Earth with a Nitrox atmosphere know as air. She never said that air was the best breathing medium for divers. Here, as in many other fields of endeavor, human beings have used their knowledge of nature laws to go one step beyond what Nature has provided for them. (J. NITROX DIVERS COURSE :

The Nitrox diver course from TDI or SDI,  is the entry level certification course designed to introduce sport divers into the field of mixed gas Diving. Feature of this course include multi-level diving using oxygen enriched air (EAN) as a breathing gas. The objective of this course is to train sport divers in the benefits, hazards, and proper procedures for utilizing nitrox mixes from 28 to 39 percent.

QUALIFICATIONS OF GRADUATES:

Upon successful completion of this course. Graduates may engage in diving activities utilizing nitrox mixes from 28 to 39 percent  without direct supervision. Also graduates of this course will be qualified to enroll in Advanced Nitrox and further into other Technical Diver courses.

Advanced Nitrox Diver Program from TDI

The TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver Program is designed to extend the diver's knowledge in the use of nitrox for diving. It further develops diving skills and provides greater understanding of the nitrox concept. Feature of this course include multi-level and decompression diving using nitrox as a breathing gas. The objective of this course is to train recreational divers in the benefits, hazards, and proper procedures for utilizing Nitrox mixes 21 to 100% oxygen.

STUDENT PRE-REQUISITES:

  • A. Age 15 - Junior certification ( requires parent or Guardian)
  • Age 18 - regular certification
  • B. TDI or equivalent Nitrox divers certification
  • C. Minimum of 25 logged dives
  • D. Equipment - Dual outlet or stage bottle, reel & lift bag , multi page slate, 5 ft. l.p. hose

    TDI Decompression Procedures Diver Course

    This course examines the theory, methods and procedures of planned stage decompression diving. This program is designed as a stand alone course or may be taught in conjunction with such TDI courses as Advanced Nitrox Advanced Wreck, or Extended Range diver.

    TDI Extended Range Diver Course 

    The objective of this course is to train divers the proper techniques, equipment requirement, and hazards of deep air diving at a max. of 55 meters and utilizing NITROX or OXYGEN for staged decompression.
